The state of the development - See you later!

Important update.

I've decided some time ago to temporarily pause the development of The Respawn Banter to focus on a smaller game that I can finish on my own. Sorry I didn't say this openly earlier.

Going commercial for the first time with The Respawn Banter is a huge step-up from what I was doing before, and the project requires working with other people - which is not easy for me.
Still, I hope that with time I'll find lots of collaborators I can trust to make even more games (I'm always willing to welcome new people to work with me).

There is still much work to be done, and the nature of the project requires lot of ideas that I'm still building. So in a way, the project will never fully stop.

The real reason though is that I simply think that finishing that specific small project first is the best course of action.
No concrete reason, I just "feel" that it's better this way.
I don't have a publisher, I can do what I want. XD

I'm really sorry for the people that wanted to play this game sooner rather than later, but since I work alone (for now) I have to make some hard choice on what to prioritize.

The development of The Respawn Banter will resume right after this other project.
The new project will be announced with a Steam demo around September.

In the meantime, remember you can join the Discord to chat with the community and to stay updated with the new projects!

You're welcome! I'm not used to do development updates, but this thing feels very important to get out of my chest. I was worried to say this until now because switching project midway is not really seen in the best way.

But the other project will be as memorable, and much shorter to complete. It's more of a rework of an old project, so it feels convenient to bring that to Steam as well.

May your estimate of difficulty be accurate!
