Hm... Is the slime supposed to be only survivable by talking to it from the bottom? I can't tell if it's a me thing or something, but I can't survive talking from the top or the left even if I mash with my keyboard.
To survive, I gotta talk from the bottom, or mash with my mouse (and?) keyboard.
Might just be a browser thing. But it was the same last time I tried the directions, given my previous comment, so I guess it's fine? ... Well. Second death by hole diving sure is interesting. Pointer of Wisdom: The overcited expression
Is "Overcited" the right word? Firefox doesn't recognize it as a word.. And the meaning doesn't seem to work here?
Woo! Name! German-Greek! Leben! Oh, Levenne! ... Maybe there should be a special response for getting part way of the combo! I actually got 2 and failed my third on my second try. True, it was because I remembered my previous playthrough a little, but still? Hero should feel a bit better getting 2/6? Still, it means a lot of dying...
And holing myself after finishing the puzzle is a bit too silly to get a good response from, I guess?
Oh, did the finished puzzle reset just because I holed myself? Or because it was the Explosive Hole sequence?
After getting into the Castle, should I be able to walk into the barrel?
You should be able to survive on each side. A little tricky, but it's easy if you hold the X button instead.
Good observation: "Overcited" is a mistake, I wanted to say "Overmentioned".
Yeah, I should add extra differences in dialogues depending on what you do (even the dying after the puzzle). I'll probably have fun with it after watching other people playing the updated demo in the future (like I gave the slime a dodge: everybody was mercilessly killing him)
The puzzle resets after death, the choice was intentional, but now that you point that out it doesn't make much sense.
The barrel should not walkable. The castle has placeholder graphics, so I didn't really care much to check. XD
You're welcome! If Hold X is always supposed to work, well, it doesn't work on the first sign, at least for my Firefox Browser? Not sure why / how mashing is faster?! Oh, the slime seems to move faster if I hold vs. if I mash??
...
Also, for some reason, one of my early saves, the first-death one, probably from the Sword, is zoomed out, and so I can see the slime pop in, instead of coming off from the side of the screen?
Holding Z speeds up the game, while X doesn't. It also works only if you hold it right away. It's not really what I want the player doing though, since I want every death to be generally hardly avoidable.
The zoom out is the plugin sometimes resetting on save load, I still didn't figure that out.
It is genuinely funny even when its cringe (or is it because of it?).
Its hard to explain, like I was laughing aloud at the stupid slime signpost gag. Its like when a friend tells the same terrible awful joke but you can't help but laugh affectionately.
BUG: Spammed Slash on Entering the Castle. Can't move now. Or is invisible. Seems to be invisible.

Do you know how to make the game so it doesn't overlap with other NXJS games / so I can play multiple MZ games at the same time / store them in the Windows 10 Task Bar?
---- Went back into the game, just to check everything... Reloaded my latest save...
Not sure if Activating the Hole should send the hero into it... I was hoping he'd just comment on it.
Tried to finish talking to the slime, approached it from the right, and when I got eaten, the expanding slime was up and to the left of the Hero.
Mashed from the left, and somehow got eaten / died even though no slime expanded. And trying from the bottom leads to best results / survival. But the Yellow Slime Fleeing actually becomes blue when it flees? I can't tell. It happens so fast...
The attack animation is programmed in a weird way, I'll have to rework how it works on the complete game, thanks for the report. I'll also look for the slime bugs, since that part is more complex that it seems.
RPG Maker MZ behaves in a weird way, so I unfortunately I don't know how to make it overlap with other games.
Interacting with the hole makes you fall to avoid just checking and avoid the hole banter, but I might add a dialogue and a stupid excuse to make him fall anyways.
...and slimes won't let you read indeed! I tried twice immediately! That's an amazingly dense sign! heh!
Then I tried the sword! I wonder what happens if I reverse that order...
And referencing your other games! Cool! Overlay! ... Darn, I went left again, looking for the remains of my first defeated "foe"! .... And done! Took me about 35 minutes and 17 deaths, ~4 to the Orbs, to hit the Title Drop! Aww!
Then I reloaded ....
After biting hand:
I not sure > I'm not sure ... pinapple in mana potions > pineapple in mana potions x2 ... Hole: innocent pleads > innocent pleas ... soar the skyes [Not "skies"? Intentional?]
Thanks for playing the game! And also thanks for the grammar/typos report, I fixed it! ^_^
Some banters are split in two parts, so if you die in a different order, you'll see the same dialogues but in a different combination. As for the sword, you can't die to it later so if you die there first you miss the dialogue.
Last night I streamed your game. Overall, I thought the tile art were very nice, and the levels looked very well constructed and thoughtfully built. However, the humor really, really did not work, making the experience very painful to have to sit through.
You can watch my full experience with your game below. Use the time stamps to skip to when I start playing your game.
I'm sorry you didn't like the humor, but I understand it's not for everybody. I also know not everyone likes 4th wall breaks because they remove immersion to the game; I think I'll use them more carefully, but not completely remove them: I think they could still be funny if used well.
Your gameplay helped me understand some extra dialogue not necessary who needs a little cut. So thanks again.
PS: You really shouldn't treat other's humor as objectively wrong. Other users told me it's not their kind of game and humor, and I respect that. I know you said you was criticizing the game and not the author, but the humor is mine, after all. XD
Streamed this yesterday with the dev present, but leaving this here for posterity:
+The game banks on humor, and while humor is subjective, it worked really well for me and I enjoyed all of it.
+The timing on the deaths was amazing and event choreography was great.
+The animation, limited as it seemed, was great, especially when the goddess abuses the hero.
+The art is cute and simple, and works well for the game. A slight exception would be that the mapping is deceptivel messy, almost suggesting you can do stuff in areas that are basically just blocked off.
-My one complaint maybe would be the sudden ending out of nowhere. Also for the spike traps, aside form bashing into them multiple times I did not have a good grasp on how to get past them, and it seems like they just stopped activating when the joke was done (fair enough).
I really enjoyed this entry, with the cave-at that as humor is so subjective, this might not be for everyone. But it sure as hell was great for me.

Oh, I did hold Z, thanks for the explanation! Holding X instead actually means I survive!
I only got the Zoomout when I reloaded the autosave? Yep, it's the autosave after the funky dance. A regular save point save should be fine?
Cool that the menu expressions change when flipping between the Start Screen choices!
It's probably something of that specific cutscene, since it happened another time exactly there. I'll look into it.
ah i knew i remembered your username from somewhere. i played this a few years back it was fun
Oh, thanks! Ahaha, I'm glad the nick is recognizable.
I like it, I just wish Gop could crush you after getting to the next respawn point. (It’s possibly I just don’t know how)
Thanks! No, it's not possible. The only way would be to return to the previous checkpoint.
But I might want to add a special interaction in the future
Played the demo.
This game is cringe, with bad jokes, awkward writing, terrible meta humor and characters have this strange an uncanny death stare...
...
...
I wishlisted it on Steam and can't wait to buy it. 5 stars.
edit: fix a grammar mistake in the first paragraph.
Thanks for playing it!
But yeah, the game is usually a hit-or-miss for players, so your comment got me in the first half, not gonna lie.
